Yesterday, I began a small series of posts on community conversation.  If you missed my first blog post on the topic you can see it here.  Today, I want to write about Twitter and why in my opinion, it is not the best place for healthy community conversation.
Most of my  friends and family don’t understand [...]

For the past several months, some friends and I have been thinking about the way our community communicates.  We have been trying to re-imagine ways to share knowledge, ideas and concerns about our community.  We all recognize that our community has many challenges, but our challenges are matched with incredible potential.

It is a busy week for me but in honor of the Storyland & Playland opening this Saturday, Frbruary 13th;  I give you Tyler vs. The Roller Coaster from YouTube.  This kid is pretty cute and he is riding our mini coaster in 2008.  Speaking of our opening, be sure to visit the Fresno Beehive [...]

Exactly one year ago today Barack Obama became President of the United States of America.  I don’t envy any president as I feel it is the most difficult job in the entire world.  The amount of daily pressure must be incredible.
But I wonder, as a candidate Obama ran on the ideal of change.  It was a [...]

George Hostetter is one heck of a great reporter for the Fresno Bee.  Today he released a blog post about the former Met Museum that is really worth everyone’s time. You can read his blog post here. He had been covering The Met for some time and reading his thoughts on the demise of the [...]

I have been attempting to to process the Haiti earthquake all day.  The loss of 50,000-100,000 lives due to an earthquake seems incomprehensible. Everything about it is so unsettling.
Possibly the most unsettling aspect of the disaster for me  is that the extreme loss of life is most directly related to the extreme poverty in Haiti. [...]
