What makes me mad is the whole situation is caused by the greed of already rich and powerful colleges hoping to get more rich and powerful. Good read but I think the problem is we have absolutely no leverage here at all. All the decisions will be made without Fresno St ’s involvement and we will get stuck with what ever is left. Best case scenario? We get added to the Mountain West (which may end up getting raided by other conferences too).
I am not worried about The Save Mart Center as it is probably not making much money off Men’s Basketball right now and would make more off of concerts. I would be more worried about the football stadium being used anymore.
